Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Minor
The College
Division of Humanities

About the Minor
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Program at UCLA is an interdisciplinary program that supports teaching and research on the historical and contemporary experience of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgendered people. It provides an academic home for those who wish to study the intellectual and cultural traditions that have shaped our current understanding of sexuality, as well as for those who wish to challenge such traditions and generate new theoretical paradigms. The program sponsors courses, offers an undergraduate minor, organizes lecture series, facilitates the study of minority sexualities in the broadest interdisciplinary context, and tries to bring together interested students, faculty, and members of the larger Los Angeles community.
